Counselling women
Cerazette may cause bleeding changes that should be discussed with women before prescribing this estrogen-free, progestogen-only method of contraception. While inconvenient, it is important to reassure women that the bleeding they may experience is not harmful.
Organon has developed materials to aid your discussions with women, including the patient Diary Card available in the Resources section of this website. The Diary Card is intended for women already prescribed Cerazette and provides information about Cerazette and space for them to record any bleeding pattern changes.
Please contact us if you require further guidance on the use of Cerazette and counselling women.
Adverse events should be reported. Reporting forms and information can be found at www.yellowcard.gov.uk.
Adverse events should also be reported to MSD Drug Safety Department on 01707 363773
